Halloween Effects Machine Hire UK: Low Fog, Haze and Vertical Effects

If you are planning a Halloween party or event, atmospheric effects are a powerful way to transform your venue and set the tone. In this blog, we will look at four types of effects machines available to hire from AV Xpert - haze, smoke and bubble, low fog, and vertical foggers - and when each suits your event best.

Faze Machines

When fog or haze is present, light beams and colour washes become visible rather than passing through empty air - they create excitement and visual interest instead of flat light. This is why effects machines are often paired with lighting on Halloween.

Faze machines enhance lighting displays by suspending fine particles in the air, allowing light beams, colour washes and moving effects to become visible and more dramatic. This is particularly useful for Halloween events where you want lighting to create visual depth and atmosphere.

We stock a selection of faze machines available to hire, including the ADJ Entour Faze 450W - ideal for smaller venues and intimate events - and the ADJ Entourage Faze Machine for larger spaces.

Smoke and Bubble Machine

The BeamZ Cyclone400 Professional Smoke Bubble Machine produces smoke, bubbles or smoke-filled bubbles from a single compact unit, with separate fluid tanks so you can switch between effects without refilling. It is fitted with 48 RGBW LEDs that illuminate the effects in a full range of colours, making it ideal for Halloween parties where you want a striking, layered visual in a smaller space.

Low Fog Machine

For a classic Halloween look, low-lying fog is a great option. The BeamZ LF3000 Low Fog Machine produces continuous fog that stays close to the ground rather than rising into the air, creating that iconic ground-level mist effect.

This creates a smooth, flowing blanket that appears to glide across the floor, adding visual depth and drama - particularly effective when layered with pulsing stage lights for a haunted, atmospheric effect.

Vertical Fogger

For more dramatic effects, the ADJ Fog Fury Jett produces a vertical blast of fog that can reach more than 25 feet (7 metres) into the air, making it ideal for larger venues, stages or performance areas where you want an effect that is visible from a distance.

The machine combines the vertical fog blast with 12 x 3-Watt RGBA LEDs that cast colour onto the fog, creating a dramatic entrance, stage effect or performance moment. The LED colours are programmable, allowing you to match your Halloween theme or event colour scheme.

Hire with Lighting for Maximum Impact

Effects machines deliver maximum visual impact when paired with lighting. Our lighting stock includes the ADJ UV COB Cannon, which creates a striking fluorescent glow for Halloween décor and performer costumes; the Helix Evo XP 150W Barrel Scanner Disco Light for fast, precise moving light patterns across your venue; the ADJ FREQ5 LED Strobe Light for rhythmic flashing that intensifies the atmosphere; and the Laserworld CS1000RGBMKII 7 Colour Laser for sharp geometric effects and sweeping patterns across smoke and fog.

Effects Machine Hire from AV Xpert

Effects machines work best when they are matched to your venue size and event type. Smaller spaces or intimate events often suit the ADJ Entour Faze 450W or a single haze machine for layered lighting effects, whilst stages and larger venues benefit from the extended reach of the Fog Fury Jett.
