Dancefloor Disco Lighting Choices - TPAR vs Warlock

Posted by Jake Wright on 20/11/2019

When hiring lighting for an event, it's important to consider all of the options available to you. This article focuses on the two dancefloor lights that we believe to be the best in their class. This is why you can chose between them when hiring our party packages. The ADJ Warlock and the ADJ DOTZ TPAR are both fantastic party lights but do very different things and can create very different atmospheres.

DOTZ TPAR

The TPAR features four horizontal, multicolour LED spotlights. When setting up, you pick a direction you want the lights to point, power it up and start the music. This is great for creating a retro 70's disco feel and the lights even sync to the rhythm of the music!

You can choose between either a wide flood light or a fairly narrow spotlight, depending on the filter you use. These lights are super bright and will easily be capable of filling an entire small to medium size venue with light. Combine with a fog or smoke machine* to create visible beams of light shooting through the venue.

ADJ WARLOCK

The ADJ warlock creates a very different effect, this uses a 360-degree mirror spinning above a powerful Multicolour light. The beams produced are much sharper and the mirror fires out rays of moving light to the beat of the music. This is more suited to an event with a nightclub feel and a single light will fill a medium size dancefloor.

You can also slow the warlock down, creating slow moving, smooth rays casting across the dancefloor, perfect for a late night slow dance. This fixture is darker than the TPAR and wouldn't be able to light up an entire venue, but creates a striking effect on the dancefloor.

So which one do I need?

This all depends on the type of event you are creating.

The TPAR is great for:

The warlock is great for:

In summary, both of these lights are great at what they do and can create a memorable night all round. If you can't choose between them, why not hire both! These will really complement each other and would look great together at any medium to large event.
