Who can hire equipment from AV Xpert?
We hire out equipment for all occasions and for anyone who has a requirement for equipment, including private customers, corporate clients, event organisers, venues, bands, and DJs.
In order to hire from us, you will need to provide us with some personal details and you will need to prove your identity - see our Hire Policy for more information.
Are you open at weekends for collection / return of equipment?
Collection and return of equipment is available at weekends by prior appointment only. Preferably equipment will be collected on Friday and Returned on Monday for a weekend hire. We can however offer delivery/ collection at weekends - again by prior appointment only. Please get in touch to discuss the specifics of your event.
Do you offer a delivery service?
We provide an in-house delivery service that includes subsequent collection of equipment at the end of your hire period. This service is available throughout East Anglia, Essex and London. For a map of all delivery zones and pricing, please click here.
Can you set the equipment up for me?
Yes, we offer a set-up service which is available alongside our in-house delivery service. We will arrive at your venue at a time to suit you to set everything up for you. We will then pack everything away for you after your event has finished (either straight afterwards if your event ends at/before midnight, or the following day). Can you show me how to set up/ operate the equipment that I have hired?
Yes, we will be more than happy to give you a demonstration on how to use the equipment that you have hired from us. If you are collecting from us we will show you how to set it up and how to operate the kit at the time of collection.
The vast majority of our hire equipment is very easy to use and requires no former knowledge or previous experience. However, if you do get stuck, we are available 24/7 for tech support - just call us on 01223 755944 or 01480 587 556 (Press option 1 if calling out of hours). We also provide useful set-up guides, videos and instruction manuals that are available to view online or to download from many of our product pages within our hire shop.
What time can I collect/ can you deliver equipment on my hire date?
Equipment is available for collection from us during office hours (9am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday). Out of hours collections may be available, but are by prior appointment only. Deliveries can be arranged for any time to suit you.
What time can I return/ can you collect equipment at the end of my hire period?
Equipment can be returned to us at any time during office hours (9am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday). Out of hours returns may be available, but are by prior appointment only. Collections by AV Xpert can be arranged for any given time to suit you (between 8am and midnight).
When do I need to pay for equipment hire services?
We require a 30% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due at any point on or before your hire date. Payment must be made in full before we release any equipment to your care.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept BACS transfer and Credit/ Debit Card payment (over the phone or at our office).
Cards accepted: Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, JCB.
Regretfully, we are unable to accept cash as a form of payment.
What details do I need to provide you with to hire equipment?
You will need to provide us with your name, email address, telephone number and billing address.
You will also need to show us proof of I.D. (valid passport or photo driving license) and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 6 months), before we release any equipment to your care. You can either send us copies of these in advance or you can bring them along when you come to collect equipment (we will need to make a photocopy).
Do you require a security deposit?
We reserve the right to ask for a security deposit. This is required entirely at our discretion, and if required, the deposit will be taken in the form of an authorisation by credit or debit card. The security deposit authorisation will be cancelled upon return of all items of equipment in satisfactory condition.
The total value of the security deposit will not exceed 50% of the manufacturer's RRP for all of the equipment to be hired.
